What's happening?

Council received funding to remove unsafe and dilapidated infrastructure and rehabilitate the foreshore of Terranora Creek adjacent to properties located on Wyuna Road. This area is known as Terranora Creek Foreshore and is located west of the M1 bridge.

A site plan outlining the works for the Terranora Creek Foreshore is available for local residents to review. These works include:

  • removing broken and degraded foreshore structures that have previously been built without Council approval. These structures are unsafe and will be disposed of offsite
  • replacing these structures with rock walls of various heights to prevent erosion where necessary
  • adding two sets of stairs/ramps to make community access to the beach level safer and easier

In addition to these works the following will also take place:

  • planting native trees that complement the look and feel of the park's shoreline area
  • addition of a new pelican perch
