The people of the Tweed are no strangers to flood events, but this current flood has broken records and affected our community like never before. The Tweed is a strong and resilient community and we have a long tradition of coming together in times like these.

As part of Council's efforts to support our community, Council will continue to advocate to State and Federal Governments for additional funding to support the Tweed to get back on its feet and seek improvements to flood response and recovery for future flood events.

By listening to your first-hand experiences, we can learn how all levels of government can further improve the flood response and keep our community as safe as possible in future floods.
