State-owned electricity infrastructure company, Essential Energy, have requested access through Council owned land at the end of Holden Street (Lot 6 in DP237093) to their Depot in Tweed Heads South. See the attached document for further technical details of the proposal.
Essential Energy have requested an easement be created (estimated 214 sqm, subject to final survey) to give them another access point to their depot, due to the increasing traffic along the current access point on Sunshine Avenue. If Council approves the easement, it does not mean the access road is automatically approved. Essential Energy will still need to apply for development approval before any work can begin.
