Supporting events to make the Tweed a great place to live and visit

Events build a vibrant community and play an important role in making the Tweed a great place to live and visit.

A draft Events Strategy 2024 - 2028 and draft Events Sponsorship Policy have been developed to help deliver and attract the right events and determine how Council will support these events.

Draft - The Tweed Events Strategy 2024 - 2028

The Tweed Events Strategy guides the sustainable growth, development, and delivery of events that are the right-fit for the region and uniquely Tweed. This means they celebrate our natural environment, lifestyle, and culture, align with our community values, and showcase the Tweed’s hero experiences. The draft has been informed by the community, local event organisers and stakeholders who took part in interviews, consultation sessions and workshops.

Draft - Event Sponsorship Policy

The draft Event Sponsorships Policy supports The Tweed Events Strategy and determines which events will be supported by Council and outlines the assessment and eligibility criteria, guiding principles, and conditions of funding.

We are asking you to review the draft Tweed Events Strategy and draft Events Sponsorship Policy and share your thoughts by making a submission before 4 pm, Wednesday 31 July 2024.
