Council to replace Anthonys Bridge in 2015, following upgrades to Stokers Road and Bakers Road
At last Thursday's (11 December 2014) Council meeting, it was resolved that Council:
- Temporarily closes
Mistral Road during the replacement of Anthonys Bridge.
- Includes a cycleway
on the downstream side of the new Anthonys Bridge at a cost of $150,000 in the
2015/16 budget.
- Undertakes pavement
rehabilitation on 5 sections of Stokers Road and 1 Section of Bakers Road
before the Anthonys Bridge replacement commences and funds the $1,586,000
required to complete these works by adjusting the current roads programs in the
December 2014 budget review.
- Officers initiate the
process of formally naming the bridge in accordance with Council policy.
The vote was unanimous.
