Project update - August 2022

The 3-stage revetment renewal aspect of the project is now complete. After 3 months of construction, Council and the project contractor recently completed the final inspection.

From Keith Compton to Island Drive, the 520 metres of the pathway is now open for residents and public access. It will also receive brand-new turf once the soil settlement is achieved which is expected within the next 6 months.

Council and contractors are now working on the maintenance plan for the Jetties Boardwalk, which will also include replacing power, water services and decking renewal.

Currently, there is significant lead time on timber materials, especially large structural beams which will extend the original timeframe for completion of the works slightly.

After the Jetties Boardwalk, work will start on the Rotunda Boardwalk (see map).
