Upgrade addresses safety initiatives

The Tweed Youth Strategy and Action Plan, adopted by Council in 2013, identified a number of community safety initiatives.

The planned Les Burger Fields upgrade is in line with those safety initiatives, so Council resolved in April 2016 to redirect funds from Council’s Community Safety Plan to help pay for the youth space upgrade.
