Tyalgum Memorial Park public toilets upgrade

Council has partnered with the Tyalgum District Community Association and the local community to ensure Tyalgum Memorial Park is more welcoming and accessible.

Construction to upgrade the public toilets and tennis courts in the park is due to start in June 2021 and will take about 8 weeks to complete.

The survey has closed and you can now view the consultation report and final concept plan.

Where are the nearest public toilets?

During construction, you can access the public toilets in Norco Park located on Coolman Street, opposite the Tyalgum Hotel, about 200 m east.

What's new

The public toilets upgrade will include:

• a new accessible toilet plus one male and one female ambulant toilet
• landscaping
• seating
• pathways.

The public toilet upgrade is funded through the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.

The tennis court will also be upgraded and will include:

• resurfacing of the court
• fence repairs
• seating
• tennis net and posts.

The tennis court upgrade is jointly funded by Council and the NSW Government through its Community Building Partnership Program.

Norco Park public toilets

Park and public toilet users will be redirected to the Norco Park toilets during the construction period (up to 8 weeks). We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Norco Park public toilets have reached the end of their useful life. When the public toilet upgrade in Tyalgum Memorial Park is complete, the Norco Park public toilets will be demolished. Arrangements will be made for the Rural Fire Service to access public amenities onsite.
