Land classification

Tweed Shire Council has acquired Lots 11-16 in Section 14 in DP2974 91-95 River Street, South Murwillumbah under the Voluntary House Purchase Scheme. The lots are outlined in the location diagram below.

Council has resolved to classify the land as operational land in accordance with the provisions of section 31(2) of the Local Government Act 1993.


What is Operational Land?

Operational land ordinarily comprises land held as an asset or as an investment, land which facilitates Council carrying out its functions or land which may not be open to the general public.
