FAQs
Are there any parking restrictions?
Yes. There will be no overnight parking allowed and signs will be posted to notify users of this rule.
How will pedestrians access Tweed Coast Road?
Pedestrians will have access through the Caba Break stairs at Cabarita Centre, 49 Tweed Coast Road, which connects to the shared zone.
Are there any site constraints?
Yes. There is a right of carriageway on the site for 47, 49, 51 and 53 Tweed Coast Road and garbage trucks need access to these properties. There is also a sewer main along the south boundary that must be considered for planting. Council has issued a temporary 5-year license to 53 Tweed Coast Road for vehicle and pedestrian access during the construction of an approved mixed-use development.
How is the project funded?
The car park is funded through developer contributions collected under Developer Contribution Plan No. 23 – Offsite Parking (CP 23). This plan determines that Bogangar/Cabarita Beach needs 68 car spaces. Council has enough funds to build a ground-level car park with 52 spaces.
