Proposed licence of cafe at Point Danger Lighthouse, Duranbah

Council proposes to grant a licence for the cafe at Point Danger Lighthouse.

In accordance with section 47 of the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW), Tweed Shire Council as Crown Land Manager under the Crown Lands Management Act 2016 (NSW) proposes to grant a licence in respect of Council-managed Crown land.

Property: Café at Point Danger Lighthouse; within Duranbah Beach Crown Reserve No. 57974, Lot 7061 in DP1068882 as outlined in yellow in the location diagram shown below.

Term: Five (5) Years

Permitted Use: Café

Licensee: The Licensee is to be appointed following a public Expressions of Interest and a subsequent Tender process which ends on 22 November 2023. It is proposed that the outcome of the tender process and public exhibition of the proposed 5-year licence of Council-managed Crown land will be reported to and determined by Council at its meeting on 13 December 2023.
