Anthonys Bridge on Mistral Road at Dunbible is listed as the top priority on Council's bridge replacement program and Council officers have commenced investigations into the construction of a new concrete bridge to replace the old, timber one.

In order to construct the new bridge to align with the road corridor, the old bridge will be demolished before the new bridge is commenced.

Therefore, Council has two options for managing vehicular access during the bridge replacement:

  1. Construct a side track and temporary bridge to keep the road open during construction; or
  2. Close Mistral Road at the Stokers Road intersection and redirect traffic to an alternative route.

Council's preferred option to is to temporarily close the road as this will result in less damage to public roads, less environmental damage, less wet weather risk and less cost to the community, but before we go ahead we want to hear how this might affect you

We will take these comments into account before making the final decision.

For more information, please contact Council on (02) 6670 2400.
